Freestyle Poem - 8/10/15
The wind, rushing with feral fury across the plains,
Makes grasses heave and swell like an ocean tide.
It claws and pries at the windows,
Forcing it's volume and violence into the cracks in the car
And escapes again with fury intact.
Birds are tethered in place by the opposing force,
Pinned in a transparent display,
Wings fluttering wildly, vexed voices blown away by the breeze.
I hear the birds and breeze like a haunting call,
And feel the battering force like a belligerent ghost,
Who will not manifest in his full form,
But neither will he leave you to yourself.
